Bruce McGregor and Robert Ernenwein are the principals and partners in McGregor & Ernenwein. Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein were both top trial attorneys with the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. Mr. McGregor was a Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney from 1983 to 1987. During his tenure as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Mr. McGregor was assigned to the prestigious Hard Core Gang Unit. Mr. McGregor completed over 50 felony and misdemeanor jury trials, including murder. Robert Ernenwein was a Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney from 1984 to 1987. During his tenure as a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Mr. Ernenwein completed over 40 felony and misdemeanor jury trials, including murder.

Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein met at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in 1984 and became close friends. In 1987 Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein decided to take their expertise as lawyers and trial attorneys and focus their experience on the defense of those charged with criminal cases. Forming McGregor & Ernenwein in 1987, Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein began a partnership that has now lasted 17 years. McGregor & Ernenwein specializes in the defense of persons charged with misdemeanor and felony cases in California State Criminal Courts. During their partnership they have together tried over 150 misdemeanor and felony jury trials and have been the attorney of record in over 3,000 misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein have successfully represented clients in court resulting in hundreds of acquittals and favorable negotiated settlements.

Bruce McGregor has been selected as a Master Trial Lawyer for the American Inns of Court. He is a founding member of the Benjamin Aranda II Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Mr. McGregor is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the South Bay Bar Association, and the Harbor Bar Association.

Robert Ernenwein is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist.. In order to become a Certified Criminal Law Specialist an attorney must pass an examination and a peer review and attend extensive continuing education in criminal law. Mr. Ernenwein is one of only a handful of lawyers who have qualified to obtain this title. Mr. Ernenwein is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a member of California Attorney's for Criminal Justice, and the California Public Defender's Association.

Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein are not "name only" partners at McGregor & Ernenwein. Unlike many other law firms, when the Law Offices of McGregor & Ernenwein is retained to represent a client in a criminal case, either Mr. McGregor or Mr. Ernenwein will be personally assigned to the case. No "associate attorneys" who are not listed as principals in the firm will be assigned to the case.

As a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Ernenwein completed over 40 felony and misdemeanor jury trials, including murder.

Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein met at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in 1984 and became close friends. In 1987, Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein decided to take their collective experience in the District Attorney’s office, and their considerable expertise as trial attorneys, and re-focus their abilities on defending those charged with criminal offenses. Forming the Law Offices of McGregor & Ernenwein in 1987, Mr. McGregor and Mr. Ernenwein began a partnership that has now lasted eighteen years.
